Ebbes von Hei!

Ebbes von Hei (“something from around here”) is something that we are very proud of, because it doesn’t just mean something from our region, it has also become a term which stands for quality and the sense of feeling at home. As part of the Ebbes von Hei regional initiative, restaurateurs, craftsmen, farmers, direct marketers, service providers, people in the creative arts and the tourist industry have joined forces to increase awareness of what we as a region have to offer and to do “something” for the region – and do it with passion and commitment.

“We, the ‘Ebbes von Hei restaurants’, work with the best ingredients from the region to turn them into typical regional meals such as you will find on our menus. We take the time to cook meals freshly and carefully, and together with our regional producers we guarantee you top quality. Enjoy your steak from happy livestock born and reared in the Hunsrück, taste some locally-produced cheeses and round off your “Ebbes von Hei menu” with a fine brandy from a local distillery – in short, taste and enjoy all that the Saar-Hunsrück region has to offer.”

“We, the ‘Ebbes von Hei producers’, manufacture our products, whether foodstuffs or handicrafts, with a passion both for the products and for our region. We see it as a privilege to live and work in the Saar-Hunsrück region, and we are happy to be able to act as ambassadors for our region with our products

Many of our products can be found on the menus of our partner restaurants and can be enjoyed there, close to where they come from. If you want to take a piece of Saar-Hunsrück back home with you or give it to somebody dear to you as a present, “the small and the big boxes“ are just the right thing for you, because they can be filled with just the products you want. A wide range of products are available at the tourist information centre.”
