Mountain biking in the Hochwald –
the 9 MTB summits
Deep valleys with natural streams, a reservoir and two dams, wooded ridges as well as cultivated meadows, fields and villages in idyllic settings epitomise a hilly region which offers mountain bikers everything they could ask for.
Nine well-signposted trails between 22 and 55 km in length and which are also available in GPS format open up a glorious and varied landscape to mountain bikers in the Hochwald holiday region. What’s more, these cycle routes are linked up with those in neighbouring municipalities, meaning that mountain bikers can easily move on to “foreign territory” and enjoy all that our neighbours have to offer – because in Hunsrück we don’t just stick together, we work together too to make sure our guests feel as comfortable as possible.
A guidebook with our nine MTB tours can be acquired from the tourist information centre. The corresponding GPS files can be downloaded from within the three outdoor systems.
