Data protection statement
Area of validity
This data protection statement explains to users the type, scope and purpose of collection and use of personal data by the supplier responsible [Tourist-Information Hochwald-Ferienland e.V., Bahnhofstr. 25 54427 Kell am See, email@example.com, Tel.: +49 6589-1044 on this website (below: “offer”).
The legal bases of the data protection are contained in the Federal Data Protection Act (“BDSG”) and the Telemedia Act (“TMG”).
Access data / server log files
The supplier (or their webspace provider) collects data each time the offer is accessed (so-called “server log files”). The access data includes:
the name of the retrieved website, the file, date and time of the retrieval, transmitted data quantity, a report on successful retrieval, browser type and version, the operating system of the user, referrer URL (the previous page visited), IP address and the querying provider.
The supplier uses the protocol data solely for statistical evaluation for operational purposes, security and to optimise the offer. The supplier retains the right, however, to subsequently check the protocol data if due to specific indications there is a justified suspicion of illegal use.
Handling of personal data
Personal data is information with the aid of which a person can be identified, i.e. Information which can be traced back to a person. This includes the name, e-mail address and telephone number. However, data regarding preferences, hobbies, memberships or which websites have been visited are also included in personal data.
Personal data is only collected by the supplier, used and forwarded in cases when this is legally permitted or the user gives their approval for data collection.
When making contact with the supplier (for example via the contact form or e-mail), the user information is stored in order to process the enquiry and for cases when follow-up questions arise.
Comments and contributions
When users leave comments in the blog or other contributions, their IP addresses are stored. This is done with the security of the supplier in mind, should an individual write comments and contributions with an illegal content (insults, prohibited political propaganda, etc.), In this case, the supplier may themselves be prosecuted for the comment or contribution, and is therefore interested in the identity of the author.
The users can subscribe to follow-up comments. The users receive a confirmation e-mail in order to check whether or not they are the holder of the e-mail address entered. Users can unsubscribe to ongoing comment subscriptions at any time. The confirmation e-mail contains information on this subject.
The newsletter provides information about us and our activities.
If you wish to receive the newsletter, we require a valid e-mail address for you, as well as information that allows us to check that you are the holder of the e-mail address entered, or that its holder agrees to receiving the newsletter. No further data is collected. This data is used only for sending the newsletter, and is not forwarded to third parties.
When you register for the newsletter, we store your IP address and the date of registration. This serves solely as evidence in case a third party misuses an e-mail address and registers for the newsletter without the knowledge of the authorised holder.
Your permission to store data, your e-mail address and its use for sending the newsletter can be withdrawn at any time. Permission can be withdrawn via a link in the newsletters themselves, in your profile area or by sending a message to the above contact options.
Incorporation of services and content of third parties
It may occur that as part of this online offer, the content of third parties, such as YouTube videos, map material from GoogleMaps, RSS feeds or graphics from other websites is incorporated. This always requires the suppliers of this content (referred to below as “third-party suppliers”) to register the IP address of the users. Without an IP address, they cannot send content to the browser of the individual user. The IP address is therefore required in order to show this content. We make an effort to use only such content, the respective supplier of which uses the IP address solely to deliver the content. However, we have no influence on the matter if the third-party suppliers store the IP address, e.g. for statistical purposes. Insofar as this is known to us, we explain this to users.
Cookies are small files that make it possible to store specific information related to the device on the access device of users (PC, smartphone, etc.). On the one hand, they help make websites user-friendly, thereby benefiting the users (e.g. storage of login data). On the other, they serve to record statistical data of website use and to enable an analysis in order to improve the offer. The users can influence the way cookies are used. Most browsers have an option whereby cookie storage is either restricted or completely prevented. However, it is pointed out that use, and in particular the usage convenience, is restricted without cookies.
Many online corporate advertising cookies can be administered via the US site http://www.aboutads.info/choices/ or the EU site http://www.youronlinechoices.com/uk/your-ad-choices/.
The data entered during registration supports the offer use. Users can obtain information about the offer or registration, such as changes to the scope of the offer or technical conditions, via e-mail. The data collected can be seen in the input mask during registration. The data includes the first name, surname and e-mail address of the user.
This offer uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service offered by Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics uses “cookies”, text files which are stored on the user’s computer, and which enable an analysis of the use of the website by users. The information generated via the cookie on the use of this website by users is usually transferred to a Google server in the US and is stored there.
If the IP address on this website is anonymised, the IP address of the Google user is however previously shortened within the member states of the European Union or in other European Economic Area contract states. Only in exceptional cases is the full IP address transferred to a Google server in the US and shortened there. IP anonymisation is active on this website. At the request of the operator of this website, Google will use this information in order to evaluate the use of the website by users, in order to compile reports on website activities and provide further services to the website operator connected to the website use and Internet use.
The IP address transmitted by your browser for the purpose of Google Analytics is not compiled with other Google data. Users can prevent the storage of cookies by making a corresponding setting in their browser software. However, this offer informs users that in this case, they cannot make full use of all functions of this website. Users can also prevent the recording of the data generated by the cookie and referring to their use of the website (including their IP address) by Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available via the following link: http://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

The use of Facebook social plugins
This offer uses social plugins by facebook.com, which is operated by Facebook Ireland Ltd., 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2, Ireland (“Facebook”). The plugins can be seen on one of the Facebook logos (white “f” on a blue tile, the terms “Like”, or a “Thumbs up” sign), or are labelled “Facebook social plugin”. The list and appearance of the Facebook social plugins can be seen here: https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
If a user retrieves a website of this offer which contains such a plugin, their browser creates a direct connection to the Facebook servers. The plugin content is transferred directly by Facebook to your browser, and is incorporated into the website by the browser. The supplier therefore has no influence on the scope of data collected by Facebook using this plugin, and therefore informs the user in accordance with its level of knowledge.
Through the integration of the plugin, Facebook receives information that a user has retrieved the relevant page of the offer. If the user is logged into Facebook, Facebook can assign the visit to their Facebook account. If users interact with the plugins, for example by pressing a “Like” button or adding a comment, the corresponding information is sent directly by the user’s browser to Facebook, where it is stored. If a user is not a member of Facebook, there is still a possibility that Facebook will find out their IP address and store it. According to Facebook, only an anonymised IP address is stored in Germany.
Users can read more about the purpose of data collection and the further processing and use of data by Facebook and the related rights and settings options to protect users’ private space in the data protection information provided by Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/about/privacy/.
If a user is a member of Facebook, and does not wish Facebook to collect data relating to this offer about them and link it to their membership data stored on Facebook, they must log off Facebook before visiting the website. Further settings and objections to the use of data for advertising purposes are possible within the Facebook profile settings: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
Recall, changes, corrections and updates
The user has the right to receive information on request, free of charge, regarding the personal data stored about them. In addition, the user has the right to correct incorrect data, and to block and delete their personal data, insofar as no legal obligation to store this data applies.
